Departure |

About Departure consists of a selection of drawings during the quarantine time in March and April 2020. The works continued using the visual diary making process developed in Flatlanders and Flatlanders Vol.3. Due to the restraints of social experience in isolation, the focus of the drawings shifted to the corners in the house that were significant to the state of my mind, as well as self-portraits that project contents from the digital media.  I have discovered that the intention of drawing was not to reflect the reality but to render the past or the present as a result of my wish to depart. My understanding of departure is a gentle thought comparing to reject, an undetermined action comparing to escape, a quiet statement comparing to leaving.
